Salt Grill & Sky Bar @ ION Orchard Shopping Mall Singapore - I had a lovely dinner at this beautiful restaurant situated on the highest level of my favourite Ion Orchard Shopping Mall on level 55 and 56. Perched on the top floor in an opulent and grand setting, this restaurant offers diners a fantastic view of Singapore's City. Definitely a unique restaurant with a bird's eye view!

Salt Grill & Sky Bar is opened by renowned Australian Celebrity Chef - Luke Mangan which serves Modern Australian cuisine inspired by new ingredients and traditional techniques using the freshest produce available. They pride themselves with using the highest quality and freshest ingredients to create simple dishes that taste excellent to the palate. This 6,000 square feet restaurant provides an elegant and beautiful ambience to diners to create a memorable dining experience against the stunning backdrop of Singapore's city skyline.


The Salt Grill Menu contains Fresh Australian produce and are carefully sourced for their high quality. The restaurant was named after Salt which was considered a rare and expensive commodity in ancient Greece, given only to people as a sign of hospitality, friendship and warmth. These special traits are what Luke's service philosophy stems from and also the result of Salt's success. Their Degustation Menu appears to be the most appealing as we could sample all their signature dishes!


We ordered the degustation menu that costs SGD140++ per person and an additional SGD99++ to include wine pairing. Food was served prompt and quick without much wait. Among all the dishes, I love the Roast foie gras the best as it was cooked to perfection! Below are all the dishes we ate!



Lastly, the exciting dishes were the desserts which tasted amazingly delicious! I love how they were beautiful crafted and presented on the plate. I also enjoyed my Peppermint tea as it aids digestion!


Finally, the total bill for this dinner was close to SGD500. It was quite expensive but worth the experience! A highly recommended restaurant with a beautiful view or for a romantic date! It was kinda funny how they got my name spelt on the final bill too! Customized service indeed! Can't run!


On Level 56, the Sky bar offers patrons the luxury of having pre or post dinner drinks while enjoying the breathtaking views of Singapore's city and the bustling Orchard city area filled with zest and life!


Secret Note: Do request for a table near the windows in order to capture the best views during sunset!
