SYDNEY - Vivid Sydney 2014 - A festival of Light, Music and Ideas! - Every year, Sydney is transformed into a spectacular canvas of light, music, ideas during Vivid Sydney. Vivid Sydney is a free event open to visitors daily from 6pm - 12 midnight and bathes the entire Sydney City into a colourful array of spectacular light displays. There were major road closures around the city and visitors were encouraged to walk and take public transport. Take a visual feast and indulge in creative light displays from a number of different sites which include Sydney's Darling Harbour, The Rocks, Circular Quay, Martin Place and even the University of Sydney. There were also some pop up food stalls set up at the Colour Cubes area at Martin Place for visitors to take a rest and indulge in some hot food, snacks and drinks.

TOURISM INDUSTRY - This year, Vivid Sydney 2014 attracted a record of 1.43 million visitors which is a 79 percent increase from the 800,000 strong crowd last year.With close to 20,000 international visitors who specially flown to Sydney just to attend this event, Sydney's tourism industry has benefited greatly from this "must see event". Vivid Sydney 2014 - Made up of more than 200 events , 50 free light shows, illuminations and projections, 80 Vivid Music Shows and 300 speakers at 180 creative industry events, this event was huge and everyone was talking about it. Most of Sydney's famous landmarks have been drastically transformed into elaborated and beautiful displays of art. The highlight of the event was the changing illuminations of the Sydney Opera House which was magically transformed into a breathtaking canvas of creative expressions.
4 June 2014 - My girlfriend Jinah and I started the Vivid Sydney Walking Trail from Sydney Darling Harbour where there was massive display of light shows and fireworks. I recorded this video with Fireworks and shouted "Happy Birthday Sara" as it was my sister's actual birthday!
Vivid Sydney takes place every year in Sydney. It is a highly recommended "MUST SEE" event!
