NEWCASTLE, NSW, AUSTRALIA - As most of you already know, I recently got a Dalmatian Puppy from a NSW Registered Breeder located near Central Coast, NSW. My puppy Dotti is currently 4 months old and she is extremely active, loving and simply likes to play. We bought her many toys and dote on her a lot. Dotti also gets along well with my mini-lop bunny Snowy and they chase each other around my garden everyday. Hope they stay best friends forever! SYDNEY - NEWCASTLE - Lora Christelle Lim's Birthday Dinner at Scratchleys On the Wharf - I had a simple birthday dinner celebration with a few girlfriends who are doctors at John Hunter Hospital where we indulged in fresh seafood and enjoyed dining with beautiful views of Newcastle Harbour. It was my first time at Scratchleys On The Wharf which is an award-winning and an iconic restaurant in Newcastle. I was very happy to have a few girlfriends who took time off to meet and celebrate with me.

It was my first time at Scratchleys On the Wharf, so I requested that the waitress recommend us what good dishes to order. We ended up ordering the Hot & Cold Seafood Platter for 2 (AUD$121), Char Grilled Hot & Cold Seafood Platter for 2 (AUD$133) and a Roasted Vegetables Frittata (AUD$32) to share and we could not finish all the food in the end. For my birthday this year, I was given a Chocolate Fudge birthday cake bought from SNOWS Artisans Bakers located in Marketown Shopping Centre in Newcastle, NSW. It is one of the best Chocolate Cake I ever had and if you love chocolate as much as I do, you got to try this! I love how the birthday cake was shaped like a chocolate rose. Very beautiful and yummy :)

SYDNEY - NEWCASTLE - Discover Sailing Day at Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club (NCYC)

SYDNEY - NEWCASTLE - Discover Sailing Day at Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club (NCYC) - Special thanks to girlfriend Caitlin who invited me to attend this Discover Sailing Day event. It was my first time sailing and I was feeling extremely nervous. I do suffer from sea sickness sometimes if the waters are rough but thank God, we were sailing along calm waters in Newcastle Harbour and there were hardly any strong breezes. My girlfriend Natalie and I enjoyed ourselves tremendously despite the extreme hot weather, trying to sail on different vessels and learning the ropes on how to sail like a pro.

We arrived at Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club early in the morning in order to avoid queues and large crowds. As they say, the early bird catches the worm. We managed to pick which vessel we would like to go on and we chose the Force 24 Regatta which only allow 4 people on board in total at anytime. After putting on the life jackets, we took a jet boat further out into the Newcastle Harbor where we were later transferred onto the Force 24 Regatta with a young and handsome Sailor who learned how to sail since he was young. Very talented boy. He taught us the Sailing Rules and gave us clear instructions on how to maneuver the Force 24 Regatta by pulling the ropes. We also went on board another small boat with a really large steering wheel. We all learned how to take the helm, work on the grinders, trim the sails acting as crew on the vessel. It was also a great way for team-bonding among all on board as we had to listen to instructions carefully and cooperate with one another. After sailing, we enjoyed some delicious BBQ sausages sandwich in the clubhouse and drank plenty of water to hydrate ourselves.

PHOTO-TAKING and SELFIES - It was my first time sailing and I managed to convinced the others with my professional persuasion skills to allow me to bring along my iPhone 5 so I can take lots of photos and videos to share with all of you my virgin sailing experience. It was definitely a lot of fun, excitement and some hard work involved. Enjoy the photos and videos below!

SAILING EXPERIENCE - Sailing is really a unique experience that is fun, challenging and some parts relaxing. If you have not sailed before, do find some time to try Sailing as I had a really exciting and memorable experience. After all, life is all about exciting new experiences so why not try Sailing? It was fun and relaxing to cruise along the calm waters in Newcastle Harbour and enjoy the beautiful scenery. It was also nice to sail along the waters alongside other water vessels and yachts. Sailing is definitely an interesting sport to enjoy the beauty of the waters and for an unforgettable experience.

I had the wonderful opportunity to work together with Tim Photography to capture some really beautiful photos by the sandy beach, blue waters and black rocks. This is a casual beach pre-wedding photoshoot self-styled. My dress is from Forever New, limited edition necklace from Swarovski and the floral tiara is hand-made by myself. Despite the Winter season, it is always warmer when the sun is out shining! Enjoy the photos!

It is the place to be if you wish to be amazed by the rare sight of giant 300m freight ships.

Newcastle City is the only few cities in the World which is surrounded by a total of 8 beaches. It also has some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia that are popular among surfers and tourists. Nobbys Beach is the safest swimming beach in Newcastle and is open all year round. Sara Shantelle Lim visits Newcastle - I brought my sister Sara to visit the famous Newcastle Ocean Baths and we were amazed that there were quite a number of people swimming despite the cold weather. The Ocean Baths is an enclosed swimming pool filled up by fresh sea water. Newcastle Ocean Baths opened in 1922 is one of Newcastle City's outstanding historic landmarks and is popular among amateur photographers. WATCH VIDEO above!

I have been going to Newcastle rather frequently to settle the purchase of an investment property and I am very fortunate to have bought a 2 bedroom apartment just 3 minutes walk from the beach at a very good price! I believe that there is room for growth in Newcastle as the City Council has many big plans to make Newcastle an attractive place to work and live in. I am so glad that I have a good girlfriend who lives in Newcastle and she is none other than Dr Stephanie Arasu who works at John Hunter Hospital in the ICU department. Doctors are so intelligent and such a noble profession that I really have deep respect for.

CHARLESTOWN SQUARE - My favourite shopping mall in Newcastle City as they have all my favourite brands such as Forever New, Dotti, Sheike, Bardot, Rebel Sport etc. and free 3 hours parking. The amazing thing about Newcastle is that movie tickets are priced at $8.50 unlike in Sydney City where each movie ticket could cost approximately AUD28-30+ dollars. Newcastle City is much quieter compared to Sydney City. It is highly recommended for a weekend getaway and short visit. You should cover a visit to Newcastle city together with Port Stephens when you travel up north from Sydney City. Australia is full of surprises and taking long drives away from Sydney City to discover new places has been a great delight and enjoyment for me.
