SYDNEY - Cirque du Soleil - TOTEM show - There is no better entertainment on a Sunday afternoon than to catch the latest TOTEM show as it was not only spectacular, mesmerizing but also tastefully artful and extremely creative. The production bursts with colors, wonder and amazement. It was a visual feast as my eyes were constantly fixated on stage as I marvel over the beautiful costumes and stunning acrobatic performances by the different characters. From the "Crystal Man" that is dressed in shimmering silver sequined costume who hangs gracefully from the top, to the incredibly talented "Scientist" who juggles multiple colorful luminous balls in a funnel, to the 5 ladies who balanced themselves in perfection on unicycles and tossing bowls onto each others' heads, to the Hoops Dancers who were able to transformed the hoops into different figures, I was simply in awe.
Among all the different acts, my favorite was the romantic couple who roller skate at incredibly high and heart-stoppping speeds on top of a tiny drum platform that is only 1.8 metres in diameter. Dressed entirely in sparkling white, they performed gracefully spinning and whirling in accordance to the music. I was totally captivated and convinced that they are a couple in love. It was definitely the best closing act I have ever seen in a performance as it exudes beauty, grace and simple perfection of talent. It demonstrates how Cirque du Soleil never fails to captivate the hearts of the audiences by pushing human achievements, defying normal boundaries and pushing mankind feats in producing thrilling acts. I can't wait to watch the next Cirque du Soleil production!
Before heading to watch the Cirque du Soleil - TOTEM show, I had a wonderful brunch at THE COVE at Drummoyne Cafe which had amazing waterfront views. Food was decent but customer service was extremely warm and friendly. It was a lovely and relaxing brunch.
STYLE and FASHION - It was my first time wearing my new Fushia Pink Salvatore Ferragamo heels, matched it with my dress from Ice, pearl necklace from Forever New, Lady Dior handbag from Christian Dior. It was always nice to dress up on the weekends. Looking good and feeling good :)
