LORA & BLACKWATER PHOTOGRAPHY - My sister Sara Shantelle Lim and I have known Timothy since young as we were childhood friends. I was really happy and thankful that Timothy agreed to help me take Pre-Wedding Photography shoot at Sofitel So Singapore. In my honest opinion, I must say he is extremely talented and patient. Equipped with the latest photography and lighting equipment, Timothy takes excellent photos that are incredibly beautiful. His photos are poignant and capture the essence of the moment. He even gave us many interesting ideas on how to pose and position ourselves to capture a better and more beautiful angle of ourselves. It was an enjoyable photo shoot overall and we are all very pleased with the outcome of the photos!

ABOUT BLACKWATER PHOTOGRAPHY - Always keen on photography as a teenager, Timothy never had the finances nor the opportunity to learn photography. His interests however, had never waned. In 2008, He jumped at the first opportunity he could during his internship at Temasek Polytechnic, and started to photograph events for his company. After closing his modelling agency, Timothy used his funds to purchase his very first DSLR, and contacted Kin, one of his former colleagues from Singapore Press Holdings. Together, they began experimenting with different lights and shadows and having enlisted the help of some model friends. Timothy and Kin started moving from portraits to products, events and wedding photography.
Having been fascinated by the works of Ryan Brenizer, Kin felt the burning desire to capture impressive images as well, and thus kick-started his journey as a photographer in 2007. In his opinion, photography is the perfect balance between artistic sense and technical knowledge. Initially as a fledgling photographer, Kin was contented to have won compliments and praises from his friends and family, but as his passion for photography grew, he decided to leave his full time job and fully pursue his interests.
In 2009, Kin and Timothy founded Blackwater Photography, and in addition to their own experiences and techniques, they believe in constant improvement to capture the best moments that life has to offer.
