LIME HOUSE - Caribbean Restaurant, Bar and Lounge at 2 Jiak Chuan Street, Singapore

Lime House Taste, Experience, Share, It's a Way of Life!

Address: 2 Jiak Chuan Street, Singapore 089260
Phone: +65-6222-3130

Lime House - Newly opened on 2 Jiak Chuan Street, Lime House is a hip, trendy and innovative Caribbean Restaurant and hangout place that has been the talk about town. It is the latest addition to the row of renovated shop houses off the main Keong Saik road just beside Cufflink Club. It is also the first Caribbean restaurant that prides itself in serving authentic Caribbean food and special cocktails in Singapore. With the aim of "Bringing An Essence of Caribbean to Asia", Lime House the name itself in Caribbean terms means to hangout with friends in the house. The atmosphere is laid-back, relaxed and friendly and most of the guests seem to know the owner and staff. After all, most people feel that the Caribbean is a Paradise with its beautiful beaches, magnificent waters and relaxing beach resorts.

Native Trinidadian Owner - Chris Morris started this place in the hope of filling the gap in Caribbean cuisine in the local scene and despite being newly opened, Lime House has been extremely popular among the Caribbean expat community with many regulars who frequent this joint. In order to ensure the authenticity of the Caribbean dishes, Chris Morris hired renowned Caribbean Chef - Hassan Defour who is one of the World's Top Caribbean Chefs and Food Presenters to act as consultant chef. Hassan Defour also personally took local head chef Tony Seah under his wings, flew him to Trinidad, St Lucia and Tobago to educate him about the interesting Caribbean cuisines and culture. Tony Seah was greatly inspired by the Caribbean way of life!

Caribbean Food - One of the most popular dishes in Lime House is their famous jerk chicken and deep fried red snapper escovitch. I had the great pleasure to try the "Catch of the Caribbean" which was a pan fried sea bream I must admit that I hardly eat Caribbean food but in all honesty, the food tasted amazingly delicious! My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time tasting the various Caribbean dishes and was greatly impressed. I really enjoyed the hearty Caribbean soup and it reminded me of delicious home-cooking that warms the heart and soul. The Pumpkin soup was just incredibly delicious!
