SYDNEY, Australia - I flew down to Sydney to visit my sister Lora Christelle as she just gave birth to her beautiful baby boy Caspian on 8 January 2017 just one day after her birthday on 7 January 2017. If you heard her remarkable story, you would understand that after my sister had her birthday dinner celebration at a French restaurant in Canberra, ACT, Australia, she felt discomfort and was rushed to the hospital. Her husband Chris drove frantically from Canberra to Sydney to admit my sister Lora into Royal Prince Alfred Hospital just beside University of Sydney where my sister graduated with a Masters of International Business qualification a few years ago. I guess Baby Caspian just wanted to share the same birthday as my sister and was simply getting too impatient waiting in Lora's womb.

At the same busy time period when baby Caspian was born, it was also the time that my sister Lora planned to move from Newcastle to Eastwood in Sydney, so my parents and I helped move all her things as well as her 4 cars - Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz and Fiat. Funny how just 2 of them own 4 cars in total - car fanatics indeed!

Korean BBQ at Eastwood, Sydney

Eastwood, Sydney - My sister moved into a brand new beautiful 5 bedrooms 3 bathrooms house in Eastwood and it is located near a little "Korean town" where we enjoyed a delicious Korean BBQ dinner. As Lora was unable to leave home during her 1 month confinement period, my parents and I had dinner ourselves nearby. 

Ripples Chowder Bay Restaurant 

Ripples Chowder Bay - One of Sydney's most famous restaurant and cafe with splendid waterfront views - Special thanks to girlfriend Joanne for picking me up from home and taking me out in her beautiful white Audi TT car. We had a wonderful brunch at Ripples Chowder Bay and later went to explore Barangaroo area in Sydney City. It was a fun girls day out together :)

Flying back to Singapore - As time passed really quickly, it was time to fly back to Singapore as I had loads of work piling up and waiting for my attention. It was always a great pleasure flying with Singapore Airlines on Business Class with exceptional food, drinks and customer service!

Newcastle to Hunter Valley - As I am living in Newcastle, the Hunter Valley is only 1 hour drive away from my home. We always bring my dalmatian puppy Dotti to the Hunter Valley for beautiful walks in the vast greenery. We love driving our Supercars to the Hunter Valley wine region and enjoy the magnificent vistas and to taste the exceptional gourmet produce.

I love spiders as the ease of removing the top roof of any car allows me to enjoy the sun, fresh air and the stars for a romantic night out! Spiders are definitely much more exciting, glamourous and interesting than a coupe as you get to have a better and clearer view of your surroundings especially when driving along beautiful coastal roads in Australia! I would definitely choose the Ferrari 488 Spider over the Ferrari 488 GTB anytime without any hesitation.

About the Ferrari 488 Spider - The Ferrari 488 Spider is Ferrari's latest creation in Maranello of open top V8 sports cars. With a retractable hard top cover, the 488 Spider is a car that is fully made with the latest and most innovative technology and ensures that the driver himself is able to enjoy the inimitable Ferrari engine soundtrack. The 3902cc turbo-charged V8, smooth progressive torque delivery in the higher gears by the Variable Torque Management system and maximum output of 670cv allows the car to sprint from 0-100km/h in just 3.0 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 8.7 seconds. Ferrari Club of Australia NSW Members Annual Christmas Party - With more than 150 members showing up for this event, it was definitely one of our most successful club events. Special thanks to the Committee members for organizing this spectacular event. All of us enjoyed a wonderful night of dinner and drinks. The canapes served before our 3 course dinner were also amazingly delicious. My favourite was the peking duck pancakes! I also love the Christmas decor and Christmas crackers displayed on each table. The Ferrari Menu was also beautifully designed! Lucky me I was one out of 10 lucky members who won the Lucky Draw prizes :) What a great start to a beautiful and happy Christmas Festive Season! May your Christmas be filled with loads of love, warm and happiness too :P

29 July 2015 - Ferrari 488 GTB Premiere in SYDNEY - An exclusive launch party was held last night at Inglis Newmarket Stables in Sydney to celebrate the arrival of the Ferrari 488 GTB (Gran Turismo Berlinetta) in Australia among high net worth individuals and the affluent society in Sydney. This is Ferrari's brand new car that is first unveiled here in Australia and has a price tag of $469,888. It is also dubbed as "the car money can't buy" as the car is "sold out!" and has more than a 2 years waiting list all the way up to 2017 before it even hits the streets in December. CEO of Ferrari Australasia - Mr Herbert Appleroth is extremely excited about the launch of this new car which has seen sales soaring high and the average age of Ferrari owners gradually decreasing to 48 years old. Ferrari is expecting record sales this year and has already sold 95 cars so far with deliveries up by 82% year-to-date. With a booming property sales market in Australia especially in Sydney and greater confidence level of consumers, it is not surprising why. Ferrari is definitely a strong global brand that is expecting a huge growth over the next few years.

INGLIS NEWMARKET STABLES in Randwick - Upon arrival at the venue of the party, there was a huge display of Ferrari flags all along the fences and I could hear the pumping music that got all the guests excited. Upon entering the gates, guests were greeted with a display of various Ferrari car models and there was a beautiful lady riding on a real horse! It was freezing cold on the green fields so I quickly took a few photos before proceeding all the way inside the stables where there was a huge display screen with the prominent "488 GTB" words. There were plenty of food and drinks served throughout the night and it was nice to meet some of our friends from both the Ferrari Club Australia as well as some from the Lamborghini Club Australia.

Grand Entrance of the Ferrari 488 GTB - All of a sudden, the music stopped, lights were dimmed, an opera singer emerged from the second floor singing at the top of her lungs and the huge display screen started screening an adrenalin-pumping Ferrari 488 GTB video. After the video ended, a beautiful lady riding on a real horse appeared out of nowhere, galloping around the room to the amazement of the crowd. Soon after, the Ferrari 488 GTB made a grand entrance driving into the crowded room with the misty smoke effect. I was kinda shocked at first as I was standing right in the middle and the car was driving towards me but luckily it stopped in time. I was also the lucky first few who was invited to sit inside the Ferrari 488 GTB to take a closer look and get a better feel of the car. I met the CEO of Ferrari Australasia - Mr Herbert Appleroth who asked me how was my recent Ferrari Factory and Museum visit in Italy and he was very pleased when I told him it was an unforgettable experience to see how Ferrari made their cars with such great precision and pride. At the party itself, there were many younger guests and I spoke to some affluent Chinese who have just recently moved to live in Australia and managed to convinced them to join the Ferrari Club. It was a beautiful evening with free flow of champagne, canapés and music and definitely a night for all Ferrari fans to remember!

Ferrari 488 GTB - This sleek and beautiful Ferrari 488 GTB is the most powerful V8 engine car Ferrari has ever produced, eclipsing the Ferrari 458 Italia by 100 Horsepower. With 660 Horsepower, the twin turbo 3.9 litre V8 Ferrari 488 GTB is remarkably fast and can reach 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds. It has a top speed of 330km/h and is the first mid-engine supercar of Ferrari to adopt turbocharging. Interested buyers are invited to race the car on the tracks today on 30 July 2015.
