Little Baby Skyler Boy is turning ONE year old. We celebrated his birthday early as daddy needed to work on his birthday. We gathered our closest family and friends to celebrate this little special day with us at our home sweet home.
Of course, Grandpa and Grandma came.
It was really hard to get a family photo together when you have 2 little kids. Both brothers will not look at the camera at the same time! We needed to get so much help from our helpers and friends to catch the kids attention.
It was even harder to get 3 families with 3 little toddlers to take a nice photo! haha!

And in that moment, Baby Skyler kicked really hard and ended up brushing his foot in the cream of the cake! Luckily, it was just brushing the surface of the bottom tier of the cake. Thankfully, the cake is still intact for us to eat. haha

This was the Birthday Balloon set up that I've made on my own. We quite enjoy decorating the Balloon Garland. I do this for all my house parties. Its a little hobby of mine.

June 2016 - Restaurant Botanica - Hunter Valley Wine Region Australia - This year, I celebrated
my birthday with my darling sister Lora at award-winning restaurant Botanica situated in the famous Hunter Valley Wine Region. Restaurant Botanica features modern Australia cuisine which was distinct in style and highlights the freshness of their own seasonal produce. We had a wonderful time dining at the restaurant together with girlfriend Katrina Lim and enjoyed beautiful views through the glass windows that looked out into the vastness of the vineyards. We also found some cute little pigs at the back of the restaurant near where we parked our cars and they were making loud snort noises at us demanding food I guess! The food and ambience were excellent especially the dessert tasted simply divine!
My dearest sister, Lora Christelle Lim, brought me to this beautiful restaurant in the heart of Hunter Valley. This place looks very English from both the inside and outside. It is slightly woody and very airy. It looks very spacious as they used a lot of glass to allow natural sunlight to seep into the place.
Modern Australian yet regionally distinctive in style, the menu at Restaurant Botanica is focused on seasonality and freshness, perfectly complemented by an award-winning wine list and stunning views looking out across our private vineyard to the Brokenback Mountain Range. This place was an excellent place to celebrate my birthday.
I loved how my birthday dessert, the dark chocolate cake and caramel ice cream melted into my mouth. For our appetizers, we had delicious mushroom soup and soft warm bread from the chef.
I had the scallops for my starters and beef cheeks for my main. I love beef cheeks, its my favourite!
Lora ordered the Ocean Trout for her main course.
After our meals, we took a stroll around the scenic vineyards just outside this restaurant.
We also went to check out the Hunter Valley Chocolate Factory situated nearby!

Celebrating Mom's birthday at Dancing Crab at Orchard Central Singapore - It is my beloved mom's birthday and she loves eating fresh seafood and especially crabs. Therefore, we decided to book the newly opened Dancing Crab restaurant at Orchard Central shopping mall. Our good friend Norman Hartono from Tunglok Group helped organized our reservation and we received excellent customer service during our dinner. It was a small birthday dinner celebration for 25-30 people and all us enjoyed ourselves tremendously.
CAKE AVENUE birthday cake - This year, mom's birthday cake is really special as it is extremely pretty and almost too beautiful to be eaten. The 2-tier purple brooches birthday cake is definitely made to be fit for a "Queen" and my mom said the ribbons are simply lovely! Once the staff brought out the birthday cake, there were so many "Oooohs and Aaahhs" as it was truely the highlight of the birthday celebration! The birthday cake was served on top a plate of toy crabs with dry ice smoke oozing from it which added to the grand arrival of the Birthday cake! Most importantly, it is a chocolate fudge cake and everyone remarked that it was one of the best chocolate cake they have ever eaten. My mom love the cake as she said it was not too sweet and was baked just right. Every one truly enjoyed eating the birthday cake and so many asked for more second and third helpings! Besides the decadent chocolate which was ever so delicious, the fondant also tasted really good! It was a cake baked to perfection and a night where everyone was filled with happiness! The cake was the perfect dessert to end a wonderful night of celebration!

SYDNEY - NEWCASTLE - Lora Christelle Lim's Birthday Dinner at Scratchleys On the Wharf - I had a simple birthday dinner celebration with a few girlfriends who are doctors at John Hunter Hospital where we indulged in fresh seafood and enjoyed dining with beautiful views of Newcastle Harbour. It was my first time at Scratchleys On The Wharf which is an award-winning and an iconic restaurant in Newcastle. I was very happy to have a few girlfriends who took time off to meet and celebrate with me.
It was my first time at Scratchleys On the Wharf, so I requested that the waitress recommend us what good dishes to order. We ended up ordering the Hot & Cold Seafood Platter for 2 (AUD$121), Char Grilled Hot & Cold Seafood Platter for 2 (AUD$133) and a Roasted Vegetables Frittata (AUD$32) to share and we could not finish all the food in the end. For my birthday this year, I was given a Chocolate Fudge birthday cake bought from SNOWS Artisans Bakers located in Marketown Shopping Centre in Newcastle, NSW. It is one of the best Chocolate Cake I ever had and if you love chocolate as much as I do, you got to try this! I love how the birthday cake was shaped like a chocolate rose. Very beautiful and yummy :)
