The Asian Couture Federation (ACF) Awards Gala organized by Fide Fashion Weeks was a celebration of creativity and craftsmanship of the most elite couturiers and the great achievements of fashion industry leaders, influencers and designers. The event was attended by over 400 international VIP guests which included renowned Celebrities, Singapore's social elites, A-listers, Media Personalities and Fashion Industry Influencers. It was an evening filled with exceptional cuisine by celebrity chef Hide Yamamoto, fine wines, fashion showcases by various designers which included MCM, local designer Frederick Lee, Italian designer Renato Balestra, Beirut based designer Basil Soda etc. along a specially created 30 metres long runway which had thousands of white roses and hydrangeas festooned on each side. Guests were also invited to marvel over the carefully curated and designed iconic pieces from each respective designers put on display in a Couture Exhibition to appreciate the meticulous workmanship and attention to detail that was put into creating each masterpiece.
ACF AWARDS - 15 awards were given out to pay homage to the World's fashion elite who are being recognized as individuals and businesses that have made significant impact in fashion landscape. Awards included Kenzo's Takada's Lifetime Achievement Award, Silvia Venturini Fendi's award for "Outstanding Contribution to the Global Couture Industry", Rain's award for being "Asian Couture Federation Style Icon", Frederick Lee's award for "Outstanding Homegrown Couture House in Singapore" and RAOUL's award for "Outstanding Homegrown Fashion Brand in Singapore etc.
MARINA BAY SANDS Singapore - It was a beautiful evening at this fashion event where all guests were dressed to the nines in designers gown that exudes that individual personality. Among all, my favorite was the stunning and magnificent gown Sabrina Van Cleef Ault wore by local designer Frederick Lee. She simply stood out from the crowd as her gown was elegant, unique and outstanding! I guess Toga dresses are in fashion as coincidentally, I was also wearing a black Toga dress from ASOS matched with my black Chanel heels. Elegantly in black :)
SURPRISE GUEST PERFORMANCE - Korean celebrity and superstar Rain left the audience in awe in an electrifying performance where he performed renditions of his most popular hits. Another impressive performance was the "Three Waiters" who are the World's most original and most successful singing waiters.
