Salt Grill & Sky Bar @ ION Orchard Shopping Mall Singapore - I had a lovely dinner at this beautiful restaurant situated on the highest level of my favourite Ion Orchard Shopping Mall on level 55 and 56. Perched on the top floor in an opulent and grand setting, this restaurant offers diners a fantastic view of Singapore's City. Definitely a unique restaurant with a bird's eye view!

Salt Grill & Sky Bar is opened by renowned Australian Celebrity Chef - Luke Mangan which serves Modern Australian cuisine inspired by new ingredients and traditional techniques using the freshest produce available. They pride themselves with using the highest quality and freshest ingredients to create simple dishes that taste excellent to the palate. This 6,000 square feet restaurant provides an elegant and beautiful ambience to diners to create a memorable dining experience against the stunning backdrop of Singapore's city skyline.


The Salt Grill Menu contains Fresh Australian produce and are carefully sourced for their high quality. The restaurant was named after Salt which was considered a rare and expensive commodity in ancient Greece, given only to people as a sign of hospitality, friendship and warmth. These special traits are what Luke's service philosophy stems from and also the result of Salt's success. Their Degustation Menu appears to be the most appealing as we could sample all their signature dishes!


We ordered the degustation menu that costs SGD140++ per person and an additional SGD99++ to include wine pairing. Food was served prompt and quick without much wait. Among all the dishes, I love the Roast foie gras the best as it was cooked to perfection! Below are all the dishes we ate!



Lastly, the exciting dishes were the desserts which tasted amazingly delicious! I love how they were beautiful crafted and presented on the plate. I also enjoyed my Peppermint tea as it aids digestion!


Finally, the total bill for this dinner was close to SGD500. It was quite expensive but worth the experience! A highly recommended restaurant with a beautiful view or for a romantic date! It was kinda funny how they got my name spelt on the final bill too! Customized service indeed! Can't run!


On Level 56, the Sky bar offers patrons the luxury of having pre or post dinner drinks while enjoying the breathtaking views of Singapore's city and the bustling Orchard city area filled with zest and life!


Secret Note: Do request for a table near the windows in order to capture the best views during sunset!

Recently, I had a Complete HAIR MAKE OVER by Jeric. I have not dyed, permed or changed my hair style in the last 10 years or so. I don't know what made me decide to just change it. The moment, I walked into JERIC Salon, I noticed Jeric smiling at me. He probably recognised me, as I may have looked pretty similar to my sister, Lora, whose hair has been done by Jeric himself. The initial plan was to just go there for a trim, to make my hair look neater and to do a hair treatment so that my hair would be less fizzy.

Somehow, something made me blurted out, "Just do what ever you want, Jeric, give me a completely new look!". I guess I just felt really spontaneous that day, and decided to move out of my comfort zone. I was not flying for the airlines any more, hence, there were no more rules on regulations on my hair do or colour any more. I just wanted to feel and look different.

Jeric started cutting my hair. His professional point of view, "I want to make you look different from your sister, so that people can tell you apart, you two just look too similar. Both sisters having similar Black Hair!"

JERIC Salon is really proud of Aveda Full Spectrum™ Hair Colour as it is 99% naturally derived. This product is made up of a signature blend of protective plant oils including Sunflower, Castor and Jojoba Oil infusing the hair. It was awesome, as my hair looked really shiny and healthy even after they dye it. I always had the impression that, my hair will spoil if I were to dye it, hence I chose to keep it naturally black. 


I'm really impressed by JERIC's own customized tea cups, protective clothes layering, etc. They let me try their Aveda Comforting Tea, which is 100% certified organic. It was really tasty and refreshing. It is a soothing herbal infusion tea that is naturally sweet due to the use of Licorice Root and Peppermint Leaves. This tea was really calming to my nerves as I was a little anxious on how my new hair style would turn out to look like. According to JERIC Salon, this tea is also really good for people who are down with a cold or sore throat.

That very same night, I was so excited to show my new hair style to my GF.. Looks nice isn't it?


It is really easy to maintain.. 


I just push everything to my right side and I would do my own little braid everyday. A lot of people says that I look so much younger now - Just like a little girl! Even my own mother could not recognise me with this new hair style when I walked into my living room that night. 


This was taken when I was home, with my hair tied up into a bun. The colour looks light brown under my bedroom's dim lightings.

Yesterday, I went down to J.Nails at Plaza Singapura to have a manicure, before my church service. It is located at Basement 1 of the building. 


My nails look awesome! I choose rose gold with glitters, so that it would match my watch and jewellery. 


I'm really lucky to be born with really nice long fingers and fingernails. I don't need to keep my nails long, as my nail bed itself, is already very long on its own. Looks really feminine.

Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora @ Resorts World Sentosa Singapore - It was a birthday celebration for my beloved Mummy and I wanted to take her somewhere special. I chose Ocean Restaurant as I have been wanting to visit the place after my initial visit to the S.E.A Aquarium where I had a memorable experience taking a look at all the different species of marine life.
My dad drove my mum to Ocean Restaurant after work without her suspecting anything and she was so surprised to find a table reserved specially for her and our family. My sister Sara Shantelle Lim and I arrived slightly later as we had to pick up the Birthday Cake we ordered in advanced.

Ocean Restaurant is located inside the World's Largest Aquarium - The S.E.A Aquarium where diners can savour delicious food while enjoying the magnificent view of the Open Ocean habitat. It is the latest dining concept by renowned Iron Chef and the only female celebrity chef in Singapore - Cat Cora. The restaurant prides itself to serve sustainably sourced seafood and they are characterized by light, simple and healthy dishes created from using the freshest produce around the region. Chef Cat Cora is an American Professional Chef of Greek descent and is best known as the Lady Iron Chef in the TV show "Iron Chef America".
The restaurant is conveniently located at the West Zone Carpark at B1M near Equarius Hotel and Sara love the fact that she could park her car right at the entrance. Upon arrival, the hostess informed us that they have arranged a complimentary slice of cake for my mum.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated according to the Aquarium theme with blue coral vases on the dining tables, starfish napkin holders, crystal chandeliers and there were large mirrors on the walls so that no matter where you sit, you will still enjoy stunning views of the marine life.
We had an enjoyable time appreciating the marvellous view of the marine life as there were many majestic Manta Rays, huge Goliath Grouper, long Eels, Sharks and different schools of fish etc.
The menu was short and simple. There were only a few choices for entrees, mains and desserts which made ordering quick and efficient. We ordered ala carte dinner items instead of the set menu as it was a late dinner at 8:30pm and we didn't want to eat too much. I guess all of us are trying to be healthier too!
We ordered what the waiter recommended and my my, the food tasted heavenly! All their dishes came in small portions but beautifully presented. Each dish was highly satisfying and my favourite was the Cod fish which melts in my mouth. Our total bill was close to SGD500+ but it included a bottle of Red wine and 4 bottles of Voss Glass Bottle water. Voss water is bottled at an artesian source in Southern Norway producing naturally pure water. As both my parents are VIP members of Resorts World Sentosa, we had more than enough points so dinner was Free. We also enjoyed free parking for 2 of our cars too. It was a lovely birthday dinner as my mummy was really delighted and enjoyed the overall memorable dining experience!

 Ocean Restaurant is definitely a must-visit! A unique restaurant with a magnificent view and great food. A place that is bound to impress your guests or romantic date. Reservations are compulsory as the restaurant is fully booked on most dates. Place a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment. The menu changes every 2 months so I should be returning to this restaurant on a regular basis. Their lunch set menu is also pretty decent at SGD60++. Dinner ala carte items are priced at around SGD30++ for entrees, SGD60++ for mains and SGD20++ for desserts. Quite an expensive place but it is worth it!

 As the next day is my mum's actual birthday, we surprised her with beautiful flowers at her workplace :) Flowers were ordered from Hallmark Florist and Gifts who provided fresh flowers in lovely hand bouquets and excellent personalized service! I actually told the lady to create a bespoke hand bouquet according to what types of flowers and fillers as well as the color of the wrapper and ribbon which I wanted. She was patient and delivered beautiful flowers on time!
