Christmas is coming, and every girl wants to look her best. I decided to go to Lush Aesthetics to try their FAT FREEZING program on my thighs. I was warmly welcomed by their excellent service staff at the walk in counter. I was first given some tea to let myself cool down from the heat outside. Next, their staff started to explain to me how Fat Freezing works. Then they went through with me the after effects and down time of fat freezing, before I was led into their private room for my slimming session. I changed into their LUSH towel robe and prepared myself mentally. I was a little apprehensive about the whole fat freezing technique as it sounded quite scary to me. But their staff explained everything clearly and calm me down. I was feeling nervous as it was my first time trying out this Fat Freezing procedure and wonder how it would go.

At the start, Mika placed a cold membrane on my right thigh. This is to protect my skin from the strong vacuum suction from the FAT FREEZING machine. It felt cold and nice on my skin.

Cryolipolysis is a medical treatment used to destroy fat cells. Its principle relies on controlled cooling for non-invasive local reduction of fat deposits to reshape body contours. The exposure to cooling is set so that it causes cell death of subcutaneous fat tissue without apparent damage to the overlying skin. The procedure is billed as a nonsurgical alternative to liposuction. The name Cryolipolysis is a portmanteau of "cryogenic" and "lipolysis."^{[citation needed]} Cryogenic lipolysis is the process of controlled cooling to near sub-zero temperatures in order to reduce localized fat deposits.

Fat Freezing lasts about 50 minutes for each part of your body, it may be your right arm, left arm, right thigh, left thigh, right love handle, left love handle, stomach, etc. I decided to try this on my thighs as I would like slimmer thighs. Therefore, I needed 50 minutes on each thigh. If you are planning to go for a Fat Freezing session, make sure you set aside at least 2 hours to Fat Freeze a pair of legs or arms. I was smart enough to bring my iPad along with me so I could watch movies while waiting for the entire procedure to be done.

Honestly, this whole fat freezing process sounds a little scary, but it was really not all that frightening. There was little or no pain at all. All I felt was like my skin was being sucked by a vacuum cleaner. The first 5 seconds felt a little strange, but after that, I felt completely normal and was totally at ease. I was able to film this video just 5 minutes into my first fat freeze session. My fear had subsided and I felt totally relaxed.

HOW IT WORKS?

The coldness from the machine will destroy your fats cells, but I did not feel any coldness. I only felt cold when Mika placed a cold mask on my legs, other than that, when the machine was placed on my thighs, it did not feel much.

FAT FREEZING HAS A LITTLE DOWN TIME

It is normal for people who goes through fat freeze to have a little bruising or redness. I intend to do Fat Freezing on both my arms and thighs to look slimmer for this Christmas. But since, I not sure how my body would react to this treatment, I decided to start with my thighs first.

This is how red it is just right after the Fat Freeze session. My skin looks a little looser right after the session, but this is due to the strong suction of the machine. It would eventually tighten back and become slimmer over time. Effective results of Fat Freezing can be seen after 2 months.

5 Days After my Fat Freezing Session at LUSH Aesthetics

It has been 5 days after my first Fat Freezing session at Lush Aesthetics, my bruise is going down and healing well. This is how it looks like now. I think that the bruise is healing quite quickly, considering that I bruise like a grape! My mosqitoe bites will turn into blue blacks and I have overall low pain tolerance. However, this whole Fat Freezing session is very bearable to me. Definitely less painful than injecting Botox or Fillers. If I were to rate this on a scale of 1 to 10. The discomfort for the first 5 seconds was around 3. After that, you will barely feel a thing for the next 49 minutes. I did not feel cold at all during the Fat Freezing session, maybe I was simply numbed.

POST CARE

I was advised to drink lots of water to detox. In order to lose more weight, I was reminded to drink a lot of water and less alcohol.

What is FAT FREEZING treatment?

FAT FREEZING Treatment Description

Fat Freezing improves body contour through the application of cooling plates on desired areas. The plates are pressed against the selected body area for about an hour with minimal to no discomfort.
