I was invited to the Mercedes-Benz Cycle and Carriage Showroom for the Launch Party of the new Mercedes E-Class. It took its one step closer to higher efficiency and ecology, with their new, powerful BlueDIRECT four-cylinder petrol engines featuring sophisticated direct injection technology. It is fitted with an ECO start/stop function and is highly effective. The new E-Class has a full anti-fiction bearings to be used in a petrol engine and switchable water pump. This car also uses the world's first stratified lean burn process in combination with exhaust-gas turbocharging and external high-pressure exhaust gas re-circulation.

What's so interesting??? The car has so many cameras and sensors that it is able to warn you when you drive the wrong way into a 1 way street or when someone is gonna hit you at your rear end. There is also attention assist that warns you if you are about to fall asleep on the wheel. BAS Plus brake assist system identifies pedestrians and slam the brakes when you are able to hit someone. There is also Active Parking Assist that identifies parking spaces, backs into them and applies the breaks. The drive need not steer, throttle or brake and let the car do the parking.

Test Drive: My friend and I "Test-Drove" the New E-Class, it definitely has a new level of luxury and comfort.

Fun Fact: SLS AMG speed is close to the highest wind speed on the hurricane scale used in USA.

SLS AMG Coupe is one of my favourite cars, apart from the Mercedes SLR. One day, I will get myself this car. I love Mercedes. I am currently driving a Mercedes SLK, and I would be very happy to stick to Mercedes as my favourite brand of cars. Their logo is simply classy and elegant. Their model designs are quite complimentary to the ladies. 

SLS AMG Coupe is famous for its Gullwing doors and its outstanding driving dynamics with puristic design and has won many awards. An impressive design deemed super futuristic by almost all car lovers. It has a V8 front-mounted mid-engine, holding the world's most powerful standard-specification 8-cylinder nationally aspirated engine. It is enhanced by a lightweight aluminium frame and ex expendable rear aerofoil released at speeds above 120km/h. It has the furnished hand sewn nappa leather and its dash board is known to resembles a cockpit. 

Mercedes C63 AMG

Estimated Price: SGD$384,888 (with COE)

The Mercedes C63 AMG is a slightly bulkier car if you compare it to the SLS AMG Coupe, but it is still a beauty. It is usually compared to a BMW M3 Sedan or the Audi S4, but it is still by far deemed as the most ferocious car. It uses a 6.2-litre V8 engine and powerful 443 lb-ft of torque and 451 horsepower. It is a beautiful car, but I'm still in love with the SLS Gullwings. 

It was very nice meeting Mercedes-Benz Senior Manager - Willie Neo. If you guys want to get a Mercedes, find him there. I am sure he would quote you a very good price for a beautiful car.

LEXUS Presents - Verve in Motion 2013 by ADELINE YEO was an exciting event which I was looking forward to for months ever since my girlfriend Adeline Yeo informed me via Facebook. Having known Adeline for a few years, I must say she is a remarkably talented artist whose art pieces exuberates love, life and passion. This collaboration with Lexus marks Adeline's 5th and last solo exhibition in Singapore. I have always admired local talent and Adeline is one woman I truely admire and respect as she dared pursue her dream as a female artist.

Adeline Yeo is the author of ViVa! Life Illuminated which was launched at Fullerton Heritage Gallery. She is a finger painter who is by far, the only artist who paints blindfolded. Her special abilities to paint without sight and just by using her fingers to feel the canvases was demonstrated live before the audience at the Lexus showroom. I was in awe as the final outcome was beautiful.

Audi Fashion Festival 2013 Closing Show - Hussein CHALAYAN A/W 2013

Audi Fashion Festival 2013 Closing Show - CHALAYAN A/W 2013 was the grand finale where the legendary British-Turkish designer closed the festival himself and it was an absolutely outstanding show! Designer Hussein Chalayan is a visionary designer who was named twice as British Designer of the Year and I was totally mesmerized by his show. The models walked down the runway and in the midst of electrifying changing bright lights, the models' clothes were transformed from a simple piece to a long elegant gown. It was almost like a "magic" show. It was highly entertaining and an extremely grand finale to the Audi Fashion Festival 2013 indeed!

Singaporean celebrity singer-songwriter Dick Lee was dressed in immaculate Yellow suit and he looked really suave! Audi Fashion Festival 2013 Festival Director - Tjin Lee was gorgeously dressed in black and I love her cool bangles! Dick Lee and Tjin Lee are such fashionistas!

I had a great time meeting up with different friends - old and new. Thanks to Natalie Tan, Christine Ni, Fay Yeoh and others who made the night a memorable one! In the photo below, I took a photo with beautiful Dr Loh May-Han who is always dressed up for the occasion. I have always admired her style and her ability to juggle her job as a doctor and to attend many social events. Audi Fashion Festival 2013 - ASHLEY ISHAM and Kwanpen A/W 2013

Audi Fashion Festival 2013 - ASHLEY ISHAM and Kwanpen A/W 2013 was my favourite show as I have always admired Singaporean designer - Ashley Isham's elegant dresses that feature strong tailoring and signature draping which makes every lady dressed in contemporary style, glitz and  glamour. Ashley Isham has a boutique in Singapore at Mandarin Gallery at store #02-15. Check out his website at http://www.aibyashleyisham.com/ Famous celebrities seen wearing Ashley Isham include Christina Aguilera, Kylie Minogue, Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts etc. I told Ashley Isham how much I loved his collection and he was really humble and friendly. Loved his colourful outfit which made him stand out from the crowd and it also reflects his vibrant personality (photo above).

It was lovely hanging out together with my CHIJ Katong Convent Primary school classmate Zelia Lim who looked gorgeous. We had an enjoyable time watching the fashion showcase and commenting on which outfit we loved the best! If you noticed carefully, I also invited my parents to this Fashion event and they enjoyed themselves tremendously :) My mum even filmed a video using her iPhone 5. Talk about hip mothers, my parents are pretty cool!

Bumped into many familiar faces at the fashion event which was the talk of the town. Everyone who was part of the fashion industry or who cared about fashion was there dressed to the nines. Famous Socialite - Frances Low was sexily dressed in a Leopard print dress. It was great catching up with Gilbert Cheah who is the Managing Director of Singapore Tatler Magazine and famous blogger Dawn Yang who was looking really beautiful in her bright yellow dress. 

Guess who was the most beautiful face that night? It was none other than famous Socialite - Jamie Cuaca who looked immaculate and flawless. I must say that she has such smooth complexion that glows and a beautiful smile. Jamie Cuaca was made famous by her high profile divorce suit from her ex husband Indonesian tycoon Nurdian Cuaca and seeking a monthly maintenance of SGD450,000. 

Jamie Cuaca is also known to have the most number of Hermes Birkin handbags, even more than Victoria Beckham, a Birkin fan. She is an ex-Singapore Airlines stewardess. Despite all the rumours that she is arrogant and cold, I found her to be nice, warm and friendly. Guess people who don't know her tend to judge too easily but I prefer to get to know a person before judging.

Audi Fashion Festival 2013 - PETER PILOTTO

Audi Fashion Festival 2013 - PETER PILOTTO in his first ever Asian showcase presented his Autumn Winter Collection 2013 and it was spectacular. I love how his collection featured cheerful bright colours with Spanish influence as well as the black/white staples with fur puffa jackets in a sophisticated style. Peter Pilotto's vision on women's fashion embraces both new and classic perspectives on elegance and bold character. Peter Pilotto clothes can be found at Club 21 in Singapore. So this Peter Pilotto was the fashion showcase after the Ashley Isham's but it was nevertheless, simply impressive. Most of the clothings were not suitable for Singapore's weather but I guess we could consider wearing them when travelling overseas to colder climate countries.

I must say during these few days at the Audi Fashion Festival 2013, Fay Yeoh has consistently dressed up fashionably every night. With her lovely dresses, glitzy headbands and furry shawl, she has never fail to steal the limelight.

The Tanglin Club is one of the most prestigious social club in Singapore. It was founded in 1865 by Singapore's first Police Commissioner, Thomas Dunman. In 1865, it was catered to the recreational needs of the locally-based British officials and expatriates. Although race was not stipulated as a criterion for membership, only Europeans were admitted. Till date, they have up to approximately 8000 memberships from around 70 different nationalities. It is located in town, off Steven's Road. The club have 4 restaurants, 5 bars, a cinema, 2 libraries, 1 gym, 2 swimming pools, 4 billiard tables, 4 outdoor and 2 indoor tennis courts, 8 squash courts, etc. This exclusive club is currently reciprocated with 135 clubs world wide. In the 1930, the ballroom is reputable for having the best dance floor in SIngapore and the club band was always their strong key attraction. Till date, an annual Tanglin Ball is held at the Churchill Room, which is a icon of the club.

I had lunch at Tavern yesterday, I had their Foie Gras for my appetiser, their Ladies Cut Beef Steak (medium rare), and Creme Brulee and Chocolate Lava Cake for desert.

The Churchill Room

The Churchill Supper Club open its doors to all members and their guests on every Friday and Saturday nights, to feast, dine and dance. They have a sumptuous spread of 4-course set dinners to a semi - a la carte menu. Their room seats around 60 people only, hence a reservation is usually essential to get a table there. Those who would like to just drop by after dinner, there's a cover charge of $18.80 to enter. There, you may enjoy some canapés, wine, and dance to their resident band, Penny Lane.
