Audi Fashion Festival 2013 Grand Opening Show - THE HOUSE OF HERERRA

Audi Fashion Festival 2013 is held at Tent @ Marina Promenade from 15-19 May just beside the Singapore Flyer. It is an annual fashion event that promises the greatest international designers flown down specially to Singapore to showcase their stunning collection pieces. As part of their 5th Year Anniversary, they are involved in charity by partnering with the Breast Cancer Foundation. This is the undeniably biggest Fashion Event held in Singapore! Check out http://audifashionfestival.com for more information of this exciting event!

We were invited to the Grand Opening Show - THE HOUSE OF HERERRA where Carolina Hererra's Fall 2013 runway collection was presented. The exclusive show also presented looks from the Carolina Hererra New York bridal and ready-to-wear collection as well as CH Carolina Hererra - lifestyle ready-to-wear and accesory collection for men and women. Carolina Hererra is well known for her elegance sophistication yet relaxed style of clothings. Visit their newly opened store in Marina Bay Sands L1-19.

Audi Fashion Festival Director - Tjin Lee was beautifully dressed in Carolina Herrera which matched her Chanel handbag. Love the long black flowy skirt which makes her look elegant yet subtle especially when she just gave birth to a baby! I must say Tjin Lee has done a remarkable and excellent job organizing the entire Audi Fashion Festival 2013! As a self-confessed fashionista, Tjin Lee has worked hard to turn Singapore into an international fashion hub. I also bumped into the vivacious Sara-Ann Krishnamoorthy who looks really sweet with her neat and plaited hair. She is always so warm, friendly and full of life! I wish I had a beautiful smile just like hers.

We also met Elizabeth Tan, the amazing woman entrepreneur who is the Managing director of Heatwave Shoes. We like Heatwave shoes as they are both stylish and comfortable. Kelly Keak is the amazing woman who owns Spa by MTM located at Wheelock Place. Both women are successful yet humble. Truly admirable! We enjoyed hanging out together during the event.

After the show, we went for the Belvedere Vodka After party at the F1 Pitt Building where we took many interesting photos and enjoyed free flow of delicious vodka cocktails for the rest of the night. I must say they did an amazing job decorating the entire party with bright cheerful neon colours and we had fun signing on the wall with our big names. It was great bumping into many familiar faces and catching up with old friends :)

Photos with the famous and successful Phil Boon who owns Mink/Royal Room/Filter Club as well as DJ Andrew T. who is the resident DJ of The Butter Factory. Both men have contributed significantly to the vibrant clubbing scene in Singapore :)

VIP Guest of Singapore Polytechnic Graduation 2013

VIP Guest of Singapore Polytechnic Graduation 2013

(S.Lecturer Aznan, SP Director Reginald Wee, Sirius Director Eugene Wong, Sara Shantelle, Course Manager KH Tang, Deputy Director Ms Wong)

I was very happy to attend Singapore Polytechnic Graduation 2013 at the Singapore Main Auditorium Hall as a VIP Guest. It was a good ceremony, it reminded me of my school days that I had, when I was schooling there. I am currently in the SP Alumni and I work together with the school for many collaborations. This time round, I've made a donation to one of the top graduates of Singapore Polytechnic. It is just a small token of money, to inspire and to help youth to strive hard to do perform well in school, based on both academic and creativity.

It was a pretty good experience, the school indeed made me feel very VIP. Just a few days ago, the school sent me an invitation letter and a VIP Carpark Label with a map, to get to the exact location. The moment I drove through the Gates of Singapore Polytechnic, the road marshals, directed me to the VIP Carpark, where the lots were reserved for the distinguished guests of honours and directors of the school. Before, I stepped out of my car, a student from the "Ambassador of Singapore Polytechnic" greeted me at the door and escorted me to the Main Auditorium.

There were about 300+ graduates today and the main hall was huge. I thought I was early, when I came at 9am, the graduation ceremony was suppose to start at 9.30am. But when I entered the hall, most of the seats were already filled with proud parents and graduates in their ropes. After the ceremony, the school directors, top graduates and VIP guests were escorted to a reception where we mingled and took some photos.

I was introduced to a Senior Lecturer, called Aznan. He is a really cool lecturer, who speaks the same lingo. He made me feel at ease, while we were attending the ceremony. He shared with me the new programs that are currently being offered at the school. His students must love him, I can tell that he is a very fun lecturer who is really up-to-date with all the current fashion/car events that are happening in Singapore.

Senior Lecturer Mr Aznan
Business Innovation & Design

I also met my Senior Lecturer, Mr Tang, who was the one who invited me down to this ceremony. He used to lecture me when I was studying in Singapore Polytechnic Business School. Still looking good there Mr Tang. Thank you for the invitation.

Course Manager Senior Lecturer Mr Tang
Business Administration

I was also delighted to know the Founder and Director of Sirius Venture Capital, Eugene Wong. He is the man that made the PARADISE Group grow from Defu Lane, into an international brand. They also invested in AJISEN RAMEN, and grew their franchise from 70 stores to 700+ in China. He believes in ever learning, hence, he continued his studies in Oxford, Harvard, etc. I must say, I have a lot to learn from him. I was also very honoured to know the Director of SP Business School, Mr Reginald Wee, who is a really bubbly individual who cracks a lot of jokes. A very jovial and heart warming person. I also met Deputy Director, Miss Wong, who was absolutely lovely. I also met a few other lecturers who were very very friendly. It was very nice meeting all of you.

XOXO

Singapore Yacht Show 2013 at One Degree Fifteen Sentosa

Singapore Yacht Show 2013
Sentosa One Degree Fifteen

The recent Singapore Yacht Show 2013 (SYS) has been a great success, with its 3rd consecutive year exhibited in Singapore, at Sentosa Cove One Degree Fifteen Marina. This luxury boating event is currently deemed as the most important super yacht industry event of each year. It has attracted many high net worth individuals than ever before, as this year's event is about three times the size of 2012 event. Infact, most of the exhibtitor spaces were sold out 2 months before the event and the numbers of exhibitors have doubled this year.

Holding this event at Sentosa Cove which is the premium location in Singapore itself, makes a great place for the Asia's elite to mingle.

The event was a 4 days event from April 18, Thursday, till April 21, Sunday. Lora and I went there on April 19, Friday, to check out the beautiful luxury boats. After which, we attended an exclusive Maserati Event at Brussels Sprouts hosted by Hong Seh Motor's boss, Edward Tan.

Lora, Enne and I were very lucky to be invited up onto a luxury boat called Challenger. It was a beautiful boat that was very nicely furnished to look like a 5 Stars Luxury Hotel Suite. Everything, inside, was designed to impress.

Apart from show casing the world's most luxury boats, there were a lot of luxury parties held too, to show case some super cars, contemporary art pieces, and even some exclusive private jets. Although, places like Europe and North America are struggling with their economic crisis, Asia is growing and striding ahead. The big spenders in Asia, are splurging in high end luxury products.

This event have attracted the biggest names among the super yacht builders and brokers, like Palmer Hognson, Sunseeker, Westport, Feadship, etc. Local dealers included Luxury Yachts, SG Boating, Simpson Marine and Premium.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable day for us. We met many old friends and we had a great time at Brussels Sprouts Sentosa Cove.

Mother's Day Lunch at JING at One Fullerton

JING at One Fullerton

For DIM SUM lovers out there, JING is the place for you to feast yourself. Recently, my family and I went there to celebrate Mother's Day. It was only SGD$58++ per person for their Buffet Brunch, and the variety of food is worth more than what you pay for.

It is the second joint venture of Hotelier Loh Lik Peng and Chef Yong Bing Ngen who are famous for their award winning Majestic Restaurant at the New Majestic Hotel. Their modern Chinese cuisine is a mixed of French and Western fusion.

One of my favourite dish which they are famous for is their Wasabi Prawns. I was really impressed when we each had an Abalone in our Chicken Soup. Their even serve Chilli Crab and Peking Duck there. The food there was impressive. Apart from that, their service was really good. The waiters were friendly, hard working and very efficient. It only took them around 5 minutes, before all our meal orders, started piling up on our tables, one after another.

Jing was also listed as one of the Best Restaurant by Singapore Tatler 2013, this year. Good job!

There's a table placed near the entrance of the indoor restaurant  There, you may help yourself with some appetisers and end your meal with some deserts. Overall, it was an incredible fulling meal. As a Mother's Day Special, each mother also received a complimentary gift from YSL. I think, that was a lovely move from the Jing's Boss.

Set lunches starts from S$45 to $85, while dinner sets range from $65 to $180.
