Cavalia Singapore - A spectacular acrobatic performance between humans and horses - It was not surprising why there was so much hype about Cavalia even before it arrived in Singapore, the show was simply spectacular! With the show's first Asian debut in Singapore, it has certainly lived up to great expectations. The show took place under a white 2440 square metres big top and rise up to 35 metres which gives the horses ample space to move about freely. With 50 horses and 46 performing artistes, the show was spell-binding in a nondescript way. The bond and connection between the horses and the riders was magical and awe-inspiring. I enjoy watching the majestic horses which performed impressive acrobatic acts together with the riders with grace.

The Grand Finale - Everyone was raving how fantastic the show ended where the sand-covered stage became magically flooded with water bringing great delight to the horses who galloped and splashed around the stage with joy! It was a breathtaking sight and I felt as if I was in a fairy-tale at that poetic moment as though time has stood still for me to savor the moment. I finally understood why Larry King raved how this show was the best he had ever seen and how Oprah Magazine called the show "breathtaking!". It is definitely a show like no other which shows the delicate relationship between humans and horses and a harmonious celebration of beauty and nature. With the aid of state of the art multimedia, Cavalia is an epic adventure, a fantastic journey that transports the audience to a wonderland of equestrian and performing arts.

TRICK EYE MUSEUM @ Resorts World Sentosa - My girlfriend Natasha and I visited Trick Eye Museum and spent a total of 1.5 hours in there. With more than 80 optical illusion paintings and installations which filled up 800 square metres of space, it is a place that will boggle your mind so do ensure to bring a fully charged camera to capture the best photos of your lifetime!

6 Themed Zones - Love, Circus, Masterpiece, Safari, Fairytale and Adventure - There were many different rooms filled with quirky exhibits to explore, touch and take some really amazing photos! It is an interesting place to explore and the perfect place to create unforgettable memories with your family and friends. It is definitely a unique and unusual place to visit as visitors are entirely mesmerized by the surrealistic landscapes and realistic portraits. Definitely a MUST VISIT!

WHAT IS TRICK EYE? - Short term for "Trick of the Eye" refers to an art technique that turns two dimensional paintings into three dimensional images through the use of optical illusions. With its history dates back to ancient Greece and Rome, it only came to use in the Baroque period of time.

I swear I can see more than 1 moon in the skies!!!

Have you met my newly found Prince Charming? It was love at first sight...

Sometimes I wish I was as nimble as a Panda so I can climb up bamboo shoots too :P

I must confess I always had nightmares of getting stuck in a book when I studied too hard for exams :X

Natasha wanted to serve my head on a plate to her VIP guests who are coming to her house for dinner!

SssHhhhh... We are hiding from our enemies under the huge flower :)

Natasha locked me up in a cage so that I can perform in her circus acts! Profit-making!

I think Natasha is more suitable for performing circus acts!

I tried to imitate him but failed while Natasha tried to massage his head to make him feel better!

Natasha wished she hadn't raised her arms with that musky smell to pour her tea...

Like I mentioned before, Natasha simply belongs to the Circus!

Natasha and I couldn't agree who is actually taller than the other ???

TIP: Please wear comfortable shoes for walking long periods of time.
I wore my favorite and most comfortable Miu Miu Ballet Flats :)

We never grow up.. We spotted a guy blowing bubbles with a bubble gun... There we go, popping bubbles instead of popping bottles in a club! haha.. Living life happy and to the fullest!

Life is short, Live your Life to the Fullest! :)

VIRAL - ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and its Controversy - The Pros and Cons by Lora Christelle Lim

ALS Association - http://alsa.org/

VIRAL - ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and its Controversy - If you log into your Facebook account, you will see multiple videos of people pouring a bucket of water filled with ice over their heads. It has become a sensation where people from all walks of life including celebrities all join in for a cause. Initially, I was one of those who rolled their eyes at the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge as I thought it was lame and a complete waste of water. However, after reading up on how it has significantly raised greater awareness on ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and increased donations, I decided to do my part after being nominated by Andrew Lee on Facebook instead of simply ignoring the nomination. After making a donation at www.alsa.org, I went to my swimming pool to do the ice bucket challenge in order not to waste water. After all, according to the United Nations website http://www.un.org/waterforlifedecade/scarcity.shtml, "around 700 million people in 43 countries suffer today from water scarcity". Therefore, we should not waste precious water.

What is ALS? - Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to their death. When the motor neurons  die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, patients in the later stages of the disease may become totally paralyzed. Most commonly, ALS strikes people between the ages of 40 and 70, and as many as 30,000 Americans have the disease at any given time. - www.alsa.org

Ice Bucket Challenge Phenomenon - The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has raised an impressive amount of money and greater awareness of the ALS Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis disease. In just 1 month, the ALS Association has raised more than $80 million in donations.

Top 3 PROs and CONs of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

1. It has gone viral on Social Media and all other forms of news and effectively raised greater awareness of the ALS disease and helped raised significant amounts of donations to the ALS association.

2. It has raised community spirits and promote the idea of giving back to community to help the less fortunate. It creates a sense of bonding within the community especially among friends on Social Media Platforms such as Facebook, Blogs, Instagram etc. It is where people all around the world, from all walks of life, come together for a good cause.

3. It has helped raised the topic and concern of Charity - what is Charity? what is defined as a Charitable act? how are our donations being handled? how can we contribute towards a greater good?

=============================

1. Waste of Water - It is a complete waste of water. There are many people who overdo it by filling huge buckets of water and ice and wasting water while others in less fortunate parts of the World suffer from water scarcity.

2. Just For Show - Some people only do the Ice Bucket Challenge and did not donate a single cent. While some do it just for fun's sake, there are others who simply ignore being nominated.

3. Accidental Deaths & related injuries - The cold ice water may cause sudden cardiac death linked to hypothermia. Furthermore, there are many accidents that happened where the heavy buckets dropped and injured the heads of many participants.

Below are some famous Celebrities doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

BILL GATES - More than 16.5 million views

GEORGE W BUSH - More than 3.6 million views

CHARLIE SHEEN - More than 16.7 million views

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge - Biggest failures - More than 12.7 million views
