Indocafe - The White House - Every year, Chan Kwai Sum (KS) would throw a huge party in the celebration of life. This year, his birthday bash was held at Indocafe - The White House which is an old colonial house situated on 35A Scotts Road. The party was really well planned and a huge success. All invited guests were dressed to the nines according to the theme "Straits Chinese / Peranakan".
Peranakan Chinese and Baba-Nyonya are terms used for the descendants of the 15th to 17th century Chinese immigrants to the Indonesian archipelago and British Malaya which is now Malaysia and Singapore. By the way, I'm a Peranakan baby too! :) Many girls wore Kebaya costume for the night.
It was a great turnout and everyone who is important in the Singapore's social scene was there. KS has many friends from different walks of life and it was interesting for me to meet old and make new friends. I had an enjoyable time mingling with the birthday guests.
I'm happy to meet Susan after so long, she's still really awesome and bubbly.
Singapore's top blogger - Dawn Yang is always looking splendid and perfect. I love the way she always look so immaculate. Dawn Yang dressed up stylishly for the night and I really like her fashion sense. She has really pretty clothes. She also has her own online clothing store called Lexi Lyla.
