I know that I've just taken some Pre Wedding Photos in Portugal Porto in March 2019. Now I am taking another pre wedding photos in Czech, Prague. The reason was purely because, I have not taken my Pre Wedding Video.

I love European Gothic architecture, so of course, I could not miss out taking a wedding video in Europe too. Hence, I traveled to Europe again in less than half a year, just to visit Prague and to take more wedding photos and most importantly a wedding video.

Below are some important info about Prague as a country, and also info about the places of interest that I've been to for these beautiful wedding photography.

Prague Astronomical Clock
Staroměstské nám. 1, 110 00 Josefov, Czechia

The Prague Astronomical Clock, or Prague Orloj, is a medieval astronomical clock located in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The clock was first installed in 1410, making it the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest clock still operating.

What does the Prague Astronomical Clock do?
Unsurprisingly, in order to provide this level of functionality, its mechanism is split into several distinct parts. The first, and most striking, is its impressive and beautifully ornate astronomical dial. This represents the position of the Sun and Moon in the sky and other various astronomical details.

How old is the astronomical clock in Prague?
The oldest part of the Orloj, the mechanical clock and astronomical dial, dates back to 1410 when it was made by clockmaker Mikuláš of Kadaň and Jan Šindel, then later a professor of mathematics and astronomy at Charles University. The first recorded mention of the clock was on 9 October 1410.

How often does the Prague clock chime?
Every hour, on the hour, crowds gather beneath the Old Town Hall Tower to watch the Astronomical Clock in action. Despite a slightly underwhelming performance that takes only 45 seconds, the clock is one of Europe's best-known tourist attractions, and a 'must-see' for visitors to Prague.

Statue of Emperor Charles IV

Emperor Charles IV.

Charles IV., often called Pater patriae (father of the country), was an important personality of the medieval Europe. He made Prague the capital of the Holy Roman Empire and he had many buildings built in the city. He also founded the oldest university in Central Europe – the Charles University – in 1348. Many places and buildings in Prague and in the whole country bear his name: the Charles Bridge, the Charles Square, and others. His monument was made on the occasion of 500 th anniversary of the Charles University in 1848.

Monument in front of the Charles Bridge

The bronze Charles IV. Monument was designed by Arnost J. Hähnel. The statue itself is about 4 metres high and it stands on a pedestal of the same height. Charles IV. has a sword in one hand and a foundation charter of the university in the other hand.

The pedestal is adorned with allegories of four faculties: faculty of theology, medicine, law and philosophy. There are statues of four important personalities of Charles IV.´s era at the corners of the monument: Arnost of Pardubice (the first Prague archbishop), Jan Ocko of Vlasim (the successive Prague archbishop), Benes of Kolovraty (he accompanied Charles IV. on his way to Rome for coronation) and Matthias of Arras (the first builder of the St. Vitus Cathedral at the Prague Castle).

The Charles IV. Monument was revealed in 1849, because there were fights around it in 1848 and the statue had to be encased to be protected from damage.
