5 in 1 Sea Sports Activities

So I did a 2 days tour in Cebu. One of which is a 5 in 1 sea sport activities, and the other was Whale Watching and Canyoneering. I booked these tours through Island Trek Tours.

This is a very good tour which I highly recommend. I have booked and paid for these activities on my own. Email responses was great and location services, pick ups, and customer service during the activities were excellent. They really take care of you throughout the entire tour and journey. I truly enjoyed my 2 days of tour booked with them. I would recommend their website and service and I will book my tours through them again, if I go back to Cebu for more adrenaline fun!

5 in 1 Activities Sea Sports

1 full day tour includes..
1. Parasailing
2. Jet Ski Ride
3. Banana Boat
4. Snorkeling by the reefs of Hilutungan and Sulpa Island
5. Island Picnic at Nalusuan Island

Parasailing

I really enjoy parasailing, I do it whenever I get a chance to at any beach resorts, so that I can see the view of the entire beach from above. I must say that, Cebu has the highest parasailing I have ever taken in my entire life. Higher than my recent trip at Boracay and also much higher than the usual Thailand or Malaysia beach resorts that I have visited before.

Just look at how tiny the hotels are in these pictures, you will get what I mean. The moment the wind blew a little, the moment the rope just shifted a little, we could feel the entire G force, as we are really ridiculously high up in the air. I would estimate that we are at least 40-50 stories high, as we are much much higher than the buildings which are around 30 stories high in the pictures.

Jet Ski Ride

Jet Skiing is possibly my favorite sea sports. I jet ski a lot in Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Boracay, etc. I think in Cebu, they are a little stricter, as they did not allow us to Jet Ski alone, someone needs to go together with me. Overall, it was still great fun. This guy really had some crazy speeds and stunts. I felt that I was flying off the jet ski, exactly how I liked it. It was full of adrenaline rush. He also allowed me to switch places with him, so that I could have full control of the monster ski, and he was the one flying off behind my back! It was hilarious and good fun!

Banana Boat Ride

Just two of us on this banana boat ride. The best thing was that this place was located just directly beside Movenpick Hotel. It was really fun! I did not managed to take a video using my go pro camera as I was really grabbing onto my life while I was on this really fast balloon! It was absolutely great fun! Long and thick and FAST!

Snorkeling by the reefs of Hilutungan and Sulpa Island

We went onto a really cool boat for our snorkeling session. We were amazed as the entire boat was just for us. I guess we were really lucky, as I saw at least 20-30 pax on the other boats, which was the exact same size as us. Hence, do consider taking this Tour that I went for. Some may think that it is a little expensive. But it is definitely exclusive. I have booked for 2 pax, and we really got 2 pax exclusive activities when we did all the 5-1 sea sports activities. We were in a world of our own.

This big boat with many crew all to ourselves! Talk about exclusivity and luxurious!

I cannot go snorkeling without taking my Go Pro !

Alright, I think I had enough of snorkeling. It was actually quite tiring to hold my breath. I was not used to breathing through the tiny tube with limited oxygen.

Island Picnic at Nalusuan Island

The last stop was having a seafood lunch at a wooden hut built in the middle of the sea. It was a fun experience overall. The seafood was very fresh and it was overall a delicious meal.

This is the little wooden hut where we had our lunch..

I have no idea what shell food this was, as I have never seen it before. But it was delicious! Probably not suitable for the faint hearted~

It was a super fun tour!

It is the time of the year to bask under the sun again. Most people do not know this, but I really love beach sports and activities. I love paragliding, jet skiing, and even exciting banana boat rides.

On this particular Cebu Philippines holiday, I did all of those activities including island hopping and snorkeling. I even swam side by side with huge Whale Sharks! This holiday was a short 5 days trip, but I did plenty! The funniest thing was that, I thought I booked a Canoeing trip on one of the days but it turned out to be CANYONING (Canyoneering) - which is a highly extreme sport, which involves climbing through the dense jungle and mountain with no safety ropes at all. If you fall, you may die. Not only did I climb the mountain rocks and waterfalls, I also actually cliff jumped multiple deep waterfalls. It was a huge mistake in not reading and booking my trip properly, but it was highly memorable. The videos are a must watch!

If you like EXTREME SPORTS - this blog post and trip is going to excite and intrigue you.

As usual, I took Singapore Airlines to Cebu, Philippines. I really love Singapore Airlines as they have the best service and most spacious and comfortable business class seats. The irony is that I thought that I had booked a business class ticket on Singapore Airlines, but in the end, I was a little disappointed when I went onto the plane and realised that it was a SILKAir plane. I paid SGD$1900 for this business class ticket. But after speaking to the passenger beside me on the business class, I learnt that she had purchased her ticket at a discounted price is only SGD$500. Moral of the story, do not impulse purchase air tickets, always do a little research first. Buying at different time or dates can result in paying 4 times for the same air ticket.

Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu

This is Movenpick Cebu Hotel lobby where it has a very open concept and very windy. They provide a welcome drink upon arrival. Their furniture are mostly blue and green colours to compliment the sea and beach front. They also have some intervals of complimentary snacks like popcorn and drinks at their lobby which all guests can enjoy.

Taste their signature free flow of popcorn at their lobby. You can also drizzle delicious mik chocolate that they provide.

After checking into our Hotel Suite, we were pleased that the Suite Room comes with a living room, a bedroom and a spacious toilet with a huge bath tub.

After changing into a casual beach wear, we decided to have lunch at the Hotel Lobby. They serve pretty good pizza and fresh fruit juices. While eating in front of the poolside, we played with their POOL Table, Darts and even a XBOX, all complimentary for hotel guests.

Movenpick Cebu Hotel Pool

The Movenpick Hotel poolside was beautiful and they played nice dance music for the pool party.

Next, I quickly went to check out the beach front. Just a few more steps down from their poolside, the hotel placed a number of beach chairs for their guests to relax on their lush green grass just before the sand area of the beach.

Of course I chose to sit on a chair that was nearest to the sea water. Notice there is a little island in the middle front of the water? It is where the hotel made a man-made floating restaurant connected to their beach front.

Movenpick Hotel Cebu Beach Front with a Island Restaurant

There is a little wooden walk way to the island Restaurant. They have fresh BBQ seafood. They even serve ostrich meat! I dare you to try it!

Breakfast Buffet at Movenpick Hotel Cebu Mactan

I paid SGD$450++ a night for their room, but I think you can get their rooms at only SGD$200+ a night on off peak seasons.

Here's a picture of their recent prices..

Stay tuned for Part 2!!
