PROCEDURE - What I really like about EHA Clinic is that Doctor Tam is really gentle and patient. I am very afraid of pain and have low pain tolerance but throughout the entire procedure I experienced no pain and could still smile for photos! 

V-SHAPED FACE - Oh from this picture, you can tell that I have quite a V-shape face. That's because I came to EHA Clinic to do XEOMIN, 1 month ago, to remove my chubby cheeks. The effect looks wonderful now. Apparently, my cheeks will keep getting smaller and slimmer over the next 2 months. In 3 months, I'll have the optimum result of XEOMIN.

CLEANSING PROCESS

First they cleansed and removed all impurities from my face. Then they took some photos of my face before they proceed to apply numbing cream on my face.

NUMBING CREAM PROCESS

With the help of the numbing cream, I was not worried that it will hurt. To make things even better, once Doctor Tam came into the room, he gave me another 2 numbing jabs to ensure that it would not hurt not even a tiny bit. I was in the very good and experienced hands of Dr Elias Tam and I was calm.

From this photo, you can see that without make-up, I do have very dark and swollen eye rings or eye bags. Therefore, I really needed Dr Tam to help me look more beautiful by getting rid of them effectively.

INJECTING FILLERS INTO MY EYES

AMAZINGLY, I felt no pain at all while Dr Tan was giving me several injections. Therefore, I was able to take lots of selfies and videos throughout the whole procedure.

Then, he moved on to my left eye. From this photo, you can tell that my eyes are less sunken. The result is IMMEDIATE and absolutely MAGICAL. My eyes INSTANTLY look less sunken, the fillers, floated my skin upwards, to look fuller and younger. I really love this procedure. It took less than 30 minutes! It is painless, fast and totally hassle free. I think its the perfect lunch time beauty procedure. Facial Fillers Better Than Rhinoplasty?

Dermal fillers are injected just below the surface of the skin, filling in unwanted wrinkles and lines, and, adding definition to the lip border. Fillers minimize or eliminate the lines that appear between the nose and mouth when you smile.

Injectable dermal fillers restore volume and fullness to the skin reducing the appearance of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.

Fillers for the nose can be used to lift the nasal bridge, creating a sharper nose, without traditional invasive surgery. Fillers for the chin can be used to add shape and form to your chin. Most use this type of filler for a sharper looking chin, much in the form of a V shape.

There are many different fillers and can be classified according to the materials used or broadly divided according to their efficacy into:

(1) Temporary filler lasting 3 to 9 months. Examples include fillers which are made from hyaluronic acid (Stylage, Hyacorp, Visagel, Juvederm, Restylane).

(2) Semi-permanent fillers lasting a year to 18 months. For example, Radiesse (www.radiesse.com) made of calcium-based microsphere technology (Calcium Hydroxylapatite) to provide immediate volume restoration and stimulates the body to produce new collagen.

(3) Permanent fillers that last longer than 2 to 3 years. Aquamid (www.aquamid.com) is made of polyacrylamide and is injected much deeper subcutaneous layer. It is meant to correct deep folds.

With so many choices, each with its own pros & cons, you should have a good discussion with us before deciding on the appropriate fillers to give you the best possible result, it may get the same or even better results than rhinoplasty. Fillers for nose are considered a type of non-surgical rhinoplasty.

What is XEOMIN^®?

XEOMIN^® is a prescription medication used in facial aesthetics to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar frown lines between the eyes (glabellar lines) in adults. XEOMIN^® contains botulinum toxin type A, a protein purified from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. XEOMIN^® is also sometimes referred to as incobotulinumtoxinA.

XEOMIN^® in Aesthetics: How Does it Work?

When you squint or frown, the muscles between your brows contract, causing the skin to furrow and fold. These lines that occur due to facial mimics are referred to as dynamic lines. Over time, as your skin ages and loses some of its elasticity, these repeated contractions can cause persistent frown lines.

Botulinum toxin type A – the active ingredient in XEOMIN^® – is used in facial aesthetic treatment to treat dynamic lines like glabellar frown lines. It acts on nerve endings in muscles to prevent muscle fibers from contracting. By reducing these contractions, XEOMIN^® can temporarily reduce the frown lines on your forehead between your eyes.

1. Does not require refrigeration, hence it last longer and better.

2. XEOMIN will drive Botox prices down.

Xeomin and Botox work the same way to paralyze muscles and smooth wrinkles. They share the identical active ingredient - botulinum toxin A. The difference is that Botox has an accompanying protein, but xeomin is naked. In the skin, all of the protein detaches from Botox within 1 minute of injection so there is no reason why the effect of xeomin should differ from Botox. Xeomin has proven effective in clinical trials. It is approved in Europe and the US to diminish glabellar (between the eyebrow) wrinkles. I have had good results with it.

What is the difference between BOTOX and XEOMIN? 

Why would people choose XEOMIN over BOTOX now?

• Xeomin does not have any additives, i.e. is a naked botulinium toxin, it has less risk of antibody formation.  This has the theoretic advantage of patients less likely to develop resistance to Xeomin.
• Xeomin does not have to be refrigerated
• Xeomin works essentially the same as Botox.  Same duration, amount of time, dosing, etc.  This familiarity makes it a much easier product for physicians and patients to adopt to.
• Xeomin will drive the overall price of botox down.
• Has been used in Germany for more than 3 years but product is very similar to Botox.
